Drug ring posed as Uber drivers to avoid suspicion

A six-person drug ring posed as Uber drivers to deliver narcotics to dozens of customers in Manhattan and the Bronx, local and federal government officials alleged on Wednesday.

Alfredo Tejada-Almonte, 34, and five alleged accomplices were arrested by authorities on Tuesday following a year-long investigation, according to News 4 New York.

The other alleged co-conspirators have been identified as Dibanny Cortorreal-Marte, 37; Oscar Tejeda-Almonte, 31; Miguel la-Paz Lugo, 37; and Selena Santos, 22, and Roberto Toribio.
